Why Etwood?

Ethos: We aspire to a slow and considered approach to music and life. Music and design are what matter most to us, so we built these straps in the hope that they help you do more of what matters to you.

Impact: We carefully vet and partner with high-trust tanneries and fabric manufacturers, with high commitments to sustainability and kindness, buy only from UK-based suppliers, and handmake the final product entirely inhouse.

Quality: We build straps for excellence in comfort, functionality and quality, despite the high labour and material costs of meeting these standards.

People: We owe this quality, from suppliers to craftsmen, to paying our people handsomely, so we can deliver the best value to you.

Present: Finally, we have a commitment to the present, not to meaningless innovation but to the careful balance of contemporary and timeless design. We take more inspiration from modern workwear and functional fashion than we do from vintage straps.

Promise: Amongst the flood of cheap products and imitations on the market, you won’t find anything like Etwood.

Supple, richly coloured leather from South West England

A 400-year-old waterwheel powers the oak bark pits at the Colyton tannery. Collaborating with local farmers for their raw hides, they are among the last British traditional oak bark tanners, producing some of the most sought after leather in Europe for its character and sustainability.

Really nice strap!

The black leather strap i bought is a real classy piece of traditional craftsmanship. Thick leather with the best feel and smell! I can't wait for the patina to happen! Very comfortable too. Happy customer.

Fantastic leather strap

Beautiful vintage style leather strap

This strap really looks the part and is beautifully made.
Unlike other vintage style straps I’ve had, the well considered and tightly cut slots for the shoulder pad, mean it stays put, when I play / am on-stage. Very happy and will be back for more.

Great for Shorty's

Love the strap and quality of finish... but theres not much room for adjustment. I'm 5'9 and at full extension - its just OK... but I'm never going to get close to a Jimmy Page stance. When it's fully shortened - there's only a foot between the top of the guitar and the strap - it turns into a necklace! You need to split the difference somewhat - especially for the price point

The best!

These days when you walk into a guitar shop, they don’t seem to have anything but cheap imported rubbish.
It’s great to see that someone is dedicated to keeping quality straps alive, and it’s also brilliant to know that they’re made right here in England!
